CANSail 1

  • Our CANSail 1 program offers an exciting week-long adventure for beginners, starting at the minimum age of 8.

    During our one-week sessions, participants will have the opportunity to sail aboard our fleet of 420 dinghies. Our priority is ensuring a blend of fun and safety while fostering independence and confidence in our beginner sailors. Led by certified instructors, our programs focus on imparting fundamental skills necessary for steering their own vessel, including boat control, knot tying, understanding weather patterns, mastering sailing terminology, and much more!

    CANSail 1 welcomes sailors with no prior experience, making it an ideal entry point for youngsters eager to explore the world of sailing.

  • Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. First week of July to last week of August.

  • $435+ tax

CANSail 2

  • For those who have already achieved their CANSail 1 level, our CANSail 2 program awaits, providing the next level of sailing challenges and learning opportunities.

    Designed for youth aged 8 and beyond, our programs promise an unforgettable experience on the waters of Collingwood Harbour. Whether you're dipping your toes into sailing for the first time or seeking to advance your skills, Collingwood Sailing Academy is your gateway to adventure on the waves.

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. Beginning the first week of July, with last session end of August.

  • $435 + tax

CANSail 3&4

  • CANSail 3 & 4 progressively builds and develops the skills in CANSail 1 & 2, with a focus on keeping the sailor engaged with appropriate challenges and learning opportunities. CANSail 3&4 includes the opportunity for some local regatta participation. This program is taught using our fleet of 420 dinghies which includes spinnaker and trapeze. Must have completed CANSail 2 to register.

  • Thursdays 5:30PM-8:30PM, 4 Consecutive Weeks with the first session running in July and second session running in August.

  • $455 +tax

Full day programs begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm.

  • Week 1 - July 1st to 5th

  • Week 2 - July 8th to 12

  • Week 3 - July 15th to 19th

  • Week 4 - July 22 to 26th

  • Week 5 - July 29th to August 2nd

  • Week 6 - August 5th to August 9th

  • Week 7 - August 12th to August 16th

  • Week 8 - August 19th to 23rd

We operate out of the Collingwood Yacht Club, located on Heritage Dr, Collingwood Ontario.

Our instructors are not just skilled sailors; they are passionate educators dedicated to the sport of sailing. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on existing skills, our instructors are here to guide you through your sailing journey.

Our activities are designed to keep your child engaged, whether it’s learning how to tie knots or learning to capsize.

Make sure to bring a reusable water bottle, a lifejacket if owned (we can supply if not), a yummy lunch and some sunscreen!
